Merino wool spun from New Zealand Merino Sheep and combined with hard wearing and durable HH® Lifa™ Hollow Fibre Polypropylene to create an incredibly warm, soft, durable twine from which Helly Hansen® create their range of Thermal Merino Wool Blend Baselayers for women.

When the body gets cold, it tries to create heat by shivering, a natural muscle response to cold conditions which allows the body to generate heat production by up to 4 to 5 times by this action.  The body also reduces blood flow to the extremities such as hands and feet, to prioritise where the blood should go.....namely the vital organs.
