The Vibram® Fivefingers® Bikila™ is named after the man who brought barefoot running to the mass market in the 1960 Rome Olympics when Ethiopia's Abebe Bikila strode to Gold........shoeless, just the way nature intended.

Convention states we should be wearing bulky restrictive trainers and for a modern 21st Century environment, we tend to conform. The Bikila™ is designed to enable you to "run barefoot" and feel your surroundings whilst retaining enough protection that modern living dictates.

A 3mm flexible but robust Vibram® Polyurethane sole with 4mm treaded grip zones to cater for every varied terrain you may encounter that wraps up the end of toe line avoiding those stubbed toe moments.

A soft padded ankle collar to ensure no shoe rub during your activity and a now ventilated Dri-Lex™ fabricated upper designed to allow the foot to "breathe" whilst constrained to keep you cool and comfortable.

A single "hook & loop" fastening closure across the forefoot ensures the shoes remain in place whilst the 3M® Reflective properties of the upper, assist in night time running to keep you seen and safe.

The Bikila™ has been designed with the runner in mind taking athletic dynamics and the body's Bio-Mechanical preferences to the limit. This is truly an all day every day wear barefoot trainer for the modern world.
