The Power of Wool
Wool, nature's own functional fabric. Of these, the Merino Wool has it's origins in North America and is an extremely fine crimply thread, which is extremely dense on the sheep. The perfect combination for manufacturing quality Merino Wool garments for you.
Wool has the capacity to insulate against heat and cold, and structured the right way, can be used for either function. Merino Wool naturally wick away moisture but has the capacity to absorb up to 30% it's own weight before feeling damp at all.
Wool & Synthetic Combination
Woolpower's Merino Wool was developed as a fabric in conjunction with the Swedish Military to develop a durable warm fabric for use in harsh winter conditions and to be able to withstand the rigours of Arctic conditions. The result is a mix of 66% pure Merino Wool combined with 33% Synthetic Fibres (Polymide/Polyester) to add further durability to the fabric finish.
All the Woolpower fabrics are finished with a Terry Loop weave finish to optimise heat insulation, trapping 80% of generated body heat in the process. Additionally, the loops provide a comfortable natural soft feel to the fabric and with almost no seams in the garment construction, the Woolpower range is truly a genuinely ultra-comfortable feel.
Woolpower Fabrics are also "self cleaning". As a natural product, you can wear them for long periods without the need to wash them, too frequently. However, when you do they can be wahed at a 60º Machine Wash & Spun Dried as well, due to the pre-shrunk nature of the fabric that will not shrink further if washing instructions are adhered to.

Staying Green!
